St. Roch

Church of the Franciscans, San Candido/Innichen, Italy.

This image has most of Roch's attributes: the dog, the staff, the lesion, and the cape with pilgrim badges. The sculptor has chosen not to include the angel or the loaf.

The statue is on the right side of the main altar of the church, paired with St. Sebastian on the left side. Each saint was a patron of plague victims.
